HistoryFunWordPuzzles.com was originally created and expanded from our first puzzle site dailypuzzles.net. DailyPuzzles.net was created back in 2006 for the purpose of providing a variety of puzzles (not just word puzzles) for users to play. A major drawback to this site was the fact that the site did not have the capability to allow visitors to create their own puzzles or to play them interactively. DailyPuzzles.net had our first version of the word search puzzle and word scramble. After a brainstorming session, we decided to spin off the word search puzzle feature into a new site. In 2008, FunWordPuzzles.com was born. The first version of the site was fairly simple in that it only had word search puzzles. However, visitors could at least create and play the puzzles. As simple as the site was, the first 18 months of the site saw over 2500 puzzles created by users. As exciting as it is that people were actually using it to create their own puzzles, the site really lacked a variety of puzzles that our first site had. In early 2010, it was decided that FunWordPuzzles.com had to be expanded significantly to include a wide variety of word puzzles. A complete site redesign was in order and in 2010, FunWordPuzzles was revamped to include a new look, optimized program code, and of course new puzzles.
Our Mission Statement (Why does this site exist?)The entire reason that this site exists was to provide fun and challenging word puzzles for people who enjoyed solving them. Even better was the fact that playing word puzzles does have some educational value. Our passion is to created the best word puzzles that our visitors would enjoy playing. This site has been designed and maintained for our visitor's experience and entertainment. We do however enjoy playing our puzzles too :).
